Distractions comes in many different forms. It can be that one Uncle who always putting your name in something, it could be that homegirl who wants you to hang out with her at a bar so she can hook up with men, or it can be that situation where you know you should have said no instead of yes. Although every situation is an opportunity to learn, but most of the time it’s just a dressed up distraction.

I started a new thing, every Sunday I write out my schedule for the week, this way I can create balance. I have to schedule work and play. When we are not organized, I believe that is how distractions enter easy. When an event pops up we have to look in our schedule and see how or if we can attend. One day your secretary will do all this for you.  But in the meantime make a schedule for yourself. You can even schedule in a time to do something spontaneous, like a drive to your closes beach or mountains. The whole point of scheduling is to prioritize and to not waste so much time.

While I’m writing this blog, I’m soaking my feet in Himalayan salt, backing soda, and essential oils; and drinking watermelon, lime, lemon, and ginger juice. It’s Saturday and I’m home relaxing and not hanging out because society says Saturday it’s hang out day. Why? Because my hangout day is scheduled for Wednesday; and Wednesday works best for me, you feel me? I think we need to relearn how to truly enjoy things. That’s why it’s important to learn the word “no” and how to prioritize better. The power of CONSISTENCY!

Come on family, let’s get focused! It’s a wonderful thing to set yourself free of fear, to enter the world of “loving what you do”. But remember it’s a step by step process, most “overnight” success take at least 3-5 years, but if you believe in miracles and got hustle like no other it can happen in 3-5 months. How will you know what’s on the other side of consistency if you don’t step out on faith. Let me tell you a secret, every time I stepped out on faith it was a success…because I believed in myself. We can talk about that the next time I see you.  We have to ignore the nay sayers, negative thoughts in our head, and the DISTRACTIONS!

Have a great week!
