We are good at taking care of our bodies and minds with exercise and education, but we often forget about our soul. Our soul needs to be attended to and cared for as well. Nourishing our soul should be a daily habit.

A disconnection from what our soul desires, life can become unsatisfying. This disconnection cause us to reach for what’s easy accessible—empty entertainment, toxic relationships, distracting food—which only makes us feel unfulfilled.

We become more connected to ourselves and our purpose when the soul is given what it needs to thrive. Here is a list of 11 ways to bring peace and light back into your life through soul rejuvenation.

1. Read more! Always have a book close by. Choose spiritual uplifting books. Read whenever you are bored to fill that time with meaningful activity.

2. Letting GO of the past. Release all emotional ties to past failures and relationships that bring you down. Move forward and focus on the great things that lies ahead.

3. Burn sage in every room, this will cleanse your home of negative energy. Light a candle(s), it can bring peace, love, positivity, harmony.

4. DANCE! Dance in the morning to wake up. Dance in the afternoon to cut loose.

5. Weekly, take a nice long relaxing bath. Himalayan/ epsom salt with essential oils are great to add to your bath to enhance the healing effects.

6. FORGIVE any and every person who have done you wrong. Holding on to anger only effects self, in a negative way. No one should be given that much power.

7. Relax. Just sit down and relax. Everything goes so fast, so much to do, so make time to do nothing! Even if it’s just 30 minutes a day, down town is needed to have a well-rested soul.

Over time, we become better at tuning in, and nourishing our soul. We then began to feel more alive, energized, fulfilled!
