Partaking in weekly long rejuvenating baths with Himalayan/ epsom salt and essential oils is a great way to enhance the healing effects of relaxing, restoring, and rejuvenating your soul.
A nice long relaxing bath is exactly what the doctor ordered! First, let’s talk about water; water alone has many healing effects. Water is used in rituals that are aligned with healing, restoration, and cleansing. Also, it’s included in ceremonies that are designed to deepen our relationship to our intuition and inner knowing. Wow! I’ve always had a thing for water, I love sitting at the river, watching waterfalls, taking relaxing baths/showers.. I even love washing dishes! Lol! But to know water has a more deeper meaning, I am floored!! There will also be a blog in the near future describing in depth of the wonderful healing effects of water; now, we’ll be taken back to the healing effects of soaking in baths with Himalayan salt and essential oils.
Okay, so before we dive in with the healing effects of Himalayan/Epsom salt and essentials oils, let’s elaborate solely on soaking aspects of taking a bath and what it means. Taking warm baths open our pores causing us to sweat, sweating is how our body cleanses itself naturally. As you know, our body is made up of mostly water, drinking plenty of water is beneficial. Soaking in water alone calms the nervous system, reducing stress, and anxiety in the body. This improves your mood which increases happiness and your well being.
Himalayan salt and essential oils enhances the healing effect of warm baths. The reason I speak on Himalayan and Epson salt is because most people are more familiar with Epson salt. I grew up using Epsom salt, Himalayan salt is fairly new to me. Epsom salt is more for sore muscles, I usually add Epson salt if I’ve had an intensed work out or if I’ve been standing on my feet all day. Himalayan salt is more for healing the mind, body, and soul; holistic use. Of course I would like to explain more in depth about the healing effects of Himalayan salt and why I love it so much! And then we will discuss the aromatherapy effects of essential oils.

Most importantly, I choose Himalayan salt because it’s more healing and natural than Epsom salt. When you sit in a salt bath, Himalayan salt detoxes your body and energy fields releasing toxins and negative energy. It’s best to take salt baths when you have time to rest the rest of the day. Best time to take baths are between 4:00 am – 6:00 am, before sunrise. The detoxification process that happens during a 30 minute salt bath is thought to be the equivalent of a three day fast, this is why being able to rest is important. Himalayan salt has over 80 minerals and elements to help reduce acidity and inflammation in your body. Himalayan salt crystals helps to balance the pH level of your skin and increases blood circulation. It improves the look feel of your skin, skin will glow after bath.
Himalayan salt baths can be extremely beneficial, especially if you are wanting to go to a deeper level in healing yourself and those around you. Its purifying and rejuvenating for the energy field and aura by removing any blockage. It purifies your body of negativity because it promotes spiritual, mental, and emotional balance. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, energetically heavy, and stressed. A Himalayan salt bath will definitely help. You will feel much lighter and calmer afterwards.
